My Photo

This is my wonderfully foodie haven. Everything you'll see here is Vegetarian and Kosher, and the vast majority is Vegan. I'm obsessed with breakfast, bok choy (go figure) and gloriously humane comfort foods. I may also touch on yoga, judaism, and nature...because these are some of my favorite things.....tra la la. Welcome to my little corner of the world wide web!

A Little of Everything

So I keep meaning to get back to posting daily…and it just isn’t happening.  I still love cooking and taking pictures of the food I make, it’s just the actual posting that I’m getting bad at.  I will fix it though…I PROMISE.  Don’t lose hope.  A lot of the food I’ve been making lately is [...]

Asian Broccoli and Tropical Spaghetti Squash

This broccoli isn’t the most photogenic dish on earth, but I make up for it with my “tropical” spaghetti squash rendition, which tastes good AND looks real pretty.  Among other things, it has all the colors going on, and it reminds me of summer.  (which is quickly fleeting these days)
I’ll talk about the broccoli first, [...]

Vegan Squash Blossoms

There are certain foods I don’t see often, and whenever I do, I NEED to get them.  Squash blossoms fall under that heading, and when I saw them at the market this week, I HAD to get a couple dozen.  I keep seeing recipes for nice, clean sauteed blossoms and such, and I tell myself [...]

Brenner!

Breakfast for dinner is ALWAYS exciting…and somehow seems to be so much more delicious than breakfast in well…the morning.  I had some leftover tempeh bacon from the BLT, so I figured I should make some “sides” for it.

The waffle maker hadn’t been out in awhile, so I went back to the banana waffles from V’con, [...]

Nachos and Taco Burgers

I hadn’t made veggie burgers in awhile, and to make up for that, I picked a few from Just The Food to try out this week, starting with the Ortega Burger.  Although I followed the recipe to a T, I’m calling this a taco burger only because the taco seasoning packet that I used wasn’t [...]

Vegan Quesadillas

Now I realize that Vegan quesadillas is an oxymoron…what with queso meaning cheese and all..but I wasn’t sure what else to call them. This was actually a conglomeration of a couple Vegan Dad recipe from the cookbook, but since I’m an over achiever, I went and found them on the site for you as [...]

Baked Chimichangas

This is another one a la the Vegan Dad Cookbook…I can not recommend purchasing his work enough. I’m not entirely sure why a baked chimichanga remains a chimichanga and doesn’t become a burrito…mine looked and tasted like burritos, but who am I to talk?

Whether they were burritos or chimichangas, these were quite good, and [...]

Sphagetti Squash Mexican Fiesta with Avocado Salsa Fresca

…or something like that.

There’s not a whole lot I can say about this….It was a a V’con recipe…I didn’t like it. Okay, that’s not totally true…I loved the fruit salsa component…the whole Mexican bean stuff underneath was nasty….or at least that’s my opinion on the matter.
Selah.

Snacks for Dinner

Making hummus from scratch is something that I’ve been meaning to do for a long time…and never quite got around to. Now that I’ve finally done it, I don’t think I’ll ever stop. This stuff is DELICIOUS, although I’ll be honest, the first time I had it, I thought it was missing something. [...]
